Slow Progress

I've made some more headway on WayBack, although not as much as I'd hope. I've been busy with my day job, other clients, and a musical, but I've still managed to find a little time for this.

So far I have made the phone pop-up a little cleaner and added triggers in the world that send you a message when you make enough progress. You can get sms, facebook, email, and tinder notifications from a named sender. The idea is that after the sad revelation, the messages become worded increasingly negatively.

I've also completed the first version of the world layout. I'm happy with the length of the world and the variety of interactable elements. I've created a parent class for things that can be interacted with, which adds a bobbing arrow over their head and listens for spacebar presses within talking distance. The next step is to add a speech system, I was thinking of using something like banjo-kazooie's speech model, text in a box below with a close-up of the face moving and a disjointed syllable sound.
