If you observe this piece and feel nothing, feel free to supplant that nothingness with the intentions and title provided below.

But if you do feel something, read no further. Keep those feelings and impressions instead - for they will be worth much more to you.

Breathe

Nahm8’s first work outside of his own property, Breathe is a simple piece based off common elements of a sub-genre of cyberpunk called Outrun. The outrun aesthetic is a personal favourite of the artist, and this is his tribute to it. The piece was made in the height of the 2020 coronavirus period in Melbourne, when one months-long lockdown had just given way to a second. The text serves as an ancient and much needed piece of advice for stressful situations - slow down, look at the beauty, and breathe.

Unfortunately, the artist was unaware of just how quickly the Australian sun can bleach out vibrant colours and the pink in these photos had since dulled. The piece (and all his others) have since been sealed with UV protective spray.

This piece is at the intersection of Singleton Street and the back of Campbell Street.
