For the final project in my masters degree, I designed an experiment to test the level of immersion the Oculus Rift could achieve compared to that created by a normal computer monitor. As a part of this experiment, I created an original horror title with Unity, with influences from Slender, Amnesia: The Dark Descent, and Pac-Man.
The results provided strong evidence towards the Oculus Rift being substantially more immersive than a computer monitor.
