

NeoDash is my first commercial release and first completed business transaction. I was hired by SkySyd Inc as Out Of Body Interactive to create an original mobile game. I sub-contracted two Australian developers, Simon Heggie for graphics and David Wallace (Czarenne) for audio, and with me programming we created NeoDash. Credit also to Isaiah Hinkler for additional art. As it was our first ever project, we wanted to make sure that we started small and simple. We'd heard all the horror stories of new companies starting projects too big for their boots and collapsing into an embarrasing and expensive puddle, so we made a tight scope and simple design a top priority. This was the motivation behind creating an infinite runner. Being our first ever paid production, our process started clumsy, slow, and full of basic mistakes, but by the end we'd created a product we're proud of.
